How do the prophesies and promises of the Old Testament fit with the books of Matthew and Luke the birth of Jesus? Christmas is a season that examines the importance of God keeping his promises, all of which are revealed in Jesus. Through looking at the Old Testament, we see that Jesus fulfills God’s promise of being with his people, showing his rule over the earth, and giving peace to the world.

Today we find hope in the promise keeper God we serve. Even when we do not see things happen on our time line, God's promises never stop being valid. It was true all through scripture and it is true today. His timing is always perfect. And we can have confidence knowing he has promised to never leave us or forsake us and it all hinges on the fact that the father sent his son.
